Steve Shaw
Senior Vice President, Cox Cross Media
Prior to founding Cox Cross Media Steve Shaw began his career in 1985 at Christal Radio Group based out of New York. After exceeding annual revenue goals year over year, Steve fast tracked himself from Sales Associate to New York Client Services Manager. After successfully fulfilling the revenue goals of the New York Client Services Manager Steve was quickly promoted to General Client Services Manager and shortly thereafter to President of Christal Radio Group Sales.
In 1995 Steve Shaw accepted the position of President of Sales for Katz Radio Group. As President, Steve was responsible for all national sales efforts representing over 1200 radio stations across the country. Under Steve’s leadership, the Katz Radio Group annual revenue grew to over $1 billion dollars positioning them as a leader in the radio rep industry.
Foreseeing the necessity of large media companies to embrace the digital landscape, Steve began sharing his vision with strategic partners throughout the industry. With a proven track record of success and innovation, Cox Enterprises quickly recognized the need to build a digital foundation encompassing all of their media assets. In 2007 Steve was recruited to the Cox Enterprises team to create Cox Cross Media taking the first real step in creating a fully integrated media solution built to accommodate the largest brands and agencies out there.
Jim Monahan
President & General Manager Cox Media Group
After 29 years with TeleRep
In 2006, Jim Monahan was promoted from Executive Vice President/Director of Operations to President and General Manager of
TeleRep.
Jim was named Executive Vice President/Director of Operations in 1998 after serving as Senior Vice President,
Director of Operations since January 1996. Before that Jim served as Director of Special Projects and Audience Development.
Previously, he served as a Director of Research for TeleRep's Jaguar station group.
Before joining TeleRep in 1980, Jim had been Research Supervisor for Metro TV Sales, the former rep arm of Metromedia
Television. Prior to Metro, he held research analyst positions at Peters Griffin Woodward, ABC-TV Spot Sales and Petry.
Jim has also had a wealth of experience on various industry research committees. He has been a member of the
INTV Research Advisory Committee since 1984, a representative of the Station Representatives Association (SRA) on the EMRC
Advisory Council, and Chairman of the TVB Research Advisory Committee.
David Koch
Vice President of Technology, Cox Cross Media
In 2007, David Koch was named Vice President, Operations & Technology with Cox Cross Media. Prior to that David served as Director of Emerging Technology from 2003 through 2007 for TeleRep, the Cox Enterprises owned industry leading television advertising rep firm. Before that David served as Director of Operations & Technology at Cox Interactive Sales, a single site focused internet advertising rep firm representing the online properties of clients such as CBS SportsLine, AutoTrader.com, The Sporting News, Gamesville, Earthlink, Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, Stuff Magazine, Smithsonian.com, Tripod.com and Weatherbug.com. David began his career in digital advertising in 1995 as Director of Marketing for Cox Interactive Sales.
Matt Murphy
Vice President of Marketing, Cox Cross Media
Matt Murphy brings to Cox Cross Media over 11 years of demonstrated success in online media and high-tech.
In previous roles at Best Internet (Verio/NTT), DIRECTV and ADP, Matt Murphy has spent his career focusing on strategic business planning, product development and channel alliances.
Having had the opportunity to spearhead unique initiatives within each respective company, Matt has been instrumental in the creation and deployment of comprehensive sales strategies leveraging modern day sales mediums and merging them with tradition core values.
As the Vice President of Marketing, Matt Murphy will be responsible for Cox Cross Media's identity, packaging strategies and all client facing product development and automated planning tools.
